Nimna Gabadage was born in Kalamazoo, Michigan and raised in Tampa, Florida as a proud child of two Sri Lankan immigrants. Currently in his final year at Florida State University, within the Honors college, he is studying Finance and Political Science.
Gabadage currently serves as the 77th Student Body President of Florida State University and the sole student member of the Board of Trustees. Gabadage is a proud active brother of the Gamma Rho Chapter of Theta Chi Fraternity. Prior to his term as Student Body President, Gabadage has been active in his university community in various facets – he has served within the Student Senate, IFC Judicial Board, Theta Chi Executive Board, Deputy Chief of Staff of the Student Government Association and the Vice President and Treasurer of the prestigious Garnet and Gold Key Honor Society. Most recently, he was named the first ever Interfraternity Council Greek Honorman for his contributions to the overall betterment of the Greek community at FSU during his time. Gabadage serves on the Board of Governors in the capacity of Chairman of the Florida Student Association, representing the over 400,000 students in public universities across the state of Florida.
In his spare time, Gabadage enjoys playing piano, cheering on FSU athletics and promoting physical wellness through his work as a NSCA Certified Personal Trainer for FSU Campus Recreation. Following his graduation, Gabadage aspires to jointly obtain his J.D. and MBA in advance of a career in public policy and governmental affairs.
