Items to Watch for the March 26th Board of Governors’ Meeting

The Florida Board of Governors will hold a meeting at Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University on March 26th. Highlights of the meeting agenda include:

Academic & Student Affairs Committee

  • Consider for approval a new academic program.

Academic & Research Excellence Committee

  • Consider for approval the public notice of intent to amend Regulation 9.012, Foreign Influence.

Strategic Planning Committee

  • Receive an update on accreditation.
  • Discuss the implementation of SUS 30, the System’s new strategic plan.

Audit & Compliance Committee

  • Receive an update on data integrity audits and certifications as well as the compliance program external review corrective action plan and implementation.
  • Approve the strategic plan for the Office of Inspector General and Compliance.

Facilities Committee

  • Authorize the issuance of debt by Florida State University for a university-affiliated hospital.
  • Amend resolution authorizing debt issuance by Florida State University Athletic Association, Inc. for football stadium improvements.

Budget & Finance Committee

  • Approve the student success plan monitoring report for Florida Gulf Coast University and authorize the release of more than $3 million in performance-based funding.
  • Consider for approval the public notice of intent to amend Regulation 9.002, Recording and Marking of Property, and Regulation 7.008, Waivers and Exemptions of Tuition and Fees.

Full Board

  • Receive an update on presidential searches.

The Board of Governors’ meeting will be streamed live on https://thefloridachannel.org/ with committee meetings scheduled to begin on March 26, 2025, at 8:45 a.m. The full Board meeting is scheduled to begin at 2 p.m. Meeting times are subject to change.
