Items to Watch for the January 30th Board of Governors’ Meeting

The Florida Board of Governors will hold a meeting at the University of North Florida on January 30th. Highlights of the meeting agenda include:

Academic & Student Affairs Committee

  • Consider for approval the general education course lists for each university.

Academic & Research Excellence Committee

  • Receive the World-Class Faculty and Scholar Report.
  • Receive the Professional & Graduate Degree Excellence Report.

Nomination & Governance Committee

  • Consider appointments of university trustees.

Budget & Finance Committee

  • Discuss NIL and financing of college athletics.

Audit & Compliance Committee

  • Receive the Quality Assessment Review.

Strategic Planning Committee

  • Receive an update on the accreditation process.
  • Receive an update on nursing program results, including PIPELINE and LINE funding.
  • Adopt the new 2030 Strategic Plan.

Full Board

  • Chair Brian Lamb delivers the State of the System address.

The Board of Governors’ meeting will be streamed live on https://thefloridachannel.org/ with committee meetings scheduled to begin on January 30, 2025, at 9 a.m. The full Board meeting is scheduled to begin at 2:30 p.m. Meeting times are subject to change.
