Tallahassee, FL (August 27, 2024) – National College Colors Day is Friday, August 30, 2024. The State University System of Florida encourages students, alumni, and fans to honor the 12 institutions within the System and celebrate Florida’s ranking as the top state for higher education in the country by wearing their university’s colors.

“National College Colors Day presents an opportunity for students, alumni and fans to show their school spirit, and it also provides a chance to highlight the accomplishments of the State University System of Florida and its 12 institutions,” said Chancellor Ray Rodrigues. “Florida remains number one for higher education because our System graduates students on time, provides high-quality higher education at an affordable cost, and ensures students receive a solid return on their investment by preparing them for employment or advanced degrees after graduation. Thanks to Governor DeSantis’ leadership and the support of the Florida Legislature, our System will continue to serve as a national model for higher education.”

“National College Colors Day is the perfect time to celebrate the faculty and leadership at our universities who remain committed to ensuring our students achieve success,” said Brian Lamb, Chair of the Florida Board of Governors. “Thanks to their hard work and continued determination, Florida remains the top state for higher education in the nation.”
