The nationally-recognized Technology Business Incubator® at the Research Park at Florida Atlantic University and FAU’s Center for Cryptology and Information Security are actively expanding opportunities for cyber-related tenants to share Center expertise and provide an outlet for research to be applied to marketable products.
Executive leadership for the Incubator recently implemented more stringent criteria for potential business occupants. The plan is for tenants developing cutting-edge information technology to share space with like-minded entities.
“This collaboration further bolsters South Florida’s reputation for providing solutions to contemporary societal challenges such as identity theft, cyber intrusions and data protection,” said Andrew Duffell, President & CEO of the Research Park at FloridaAtlantic University. “It is directly in line with the Research Park’s strategy of focusing on the advancement of research and technology to further South Florida’s economic development goals.”
The Center is recognized for its capabilities by the National Security Agency (NSA) and the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) as a “National Center of Academic Excellence in Information Assurance/Cyber Defense Research.”
The Technology Business Incubator and the Center have issued an open call across South Florida for researchers and information technology professionals to apply to become involved. Inquiries should be made to either Duffell at research-park.org or Dr. Rainer Steinwandt, the Center’s Director, at math.fau.edu/ccis/.
