FSU law grads lead state in passing bar exam

Florida State University College of Law graduates ranked first among the state’s 11 law schools on the February 2013 administration of the Florida Bar Examination.
FSU law graduates have ranked first or second in the state on 10 of the last 15 administrations of the exam.
Twenty-four of 25 FSU graduates – 96 percent – passed the exam, according to results released this week. Nineteen of 23 Florida A&M law school graduates passed, for an 82.6 percent passage rate. The overall passing rate of all law school graduates taking the exam for the first time was 80.2 percent.
The exam was administered Feb. 26-27 in Tampa to 819 first-time takers.
FAMU finished better than University of Florida (16 of 22, 72.7 percent) but not as well as Florida International University (33 of 36, 91.7 percent) among the state’s public universities.
