Seminole State College’s board of trustees will vote Feb. 18 on an agreement with the University of Florida to help funnel students into UF’s building construction degree.
The deal is designed to make it easier for students with an associate of arts degree to transfer into UF's M.E. Rinker Sr. School of Building Construction. Seminole State College officials said the agreement will help in its recruiting efforts.
“Students will see Seminole State as a pathway to the University of Florida’s construction program,” documents state. “We expect to see an increase of 20 students per year in our construction program. The University of Florida is expecting to select three to four students per year.”
