Board of Trustees Vacancies
The Trustee Nominating and Development Committee of the Board of Governors is seeking candidates for appointment to the board of trustees of universities.
- The following institutions have 1 vacancy each for a term ending January 6, 2018:
- Florida A&M University
- The deadline for submission of applications for these vacancies is extended until 5:00 p.m. EDT April 25, 2013
- Applications received after this deadline will not be considered.
- Do not send applications to individual university board offices.
- University of Central Florida (1 vacancy) for a term ending January 6, 2016
- The deadline for submission of applications for this vacancy is 5:00 p.m. EDT May 10, 2013.
- Applications received after this deadline will not be considered.
- Do not send applications to individual university board office.
Each state university has a 13-member Board of Trustees responsible for cost-effective policy, implementing and maintaining high-quality education programs consistent with the university's mission, performance evaluation and developing a process meeting state policy, budgeting and education standards.
NOTE: Applicants who are selected for interviews are subject to an initial background check by the Florida Department of Law Enforcement.
