Jason Jones, Director, Institutional Research
Jason Jones provides research and analysis to the Board of Governors on a broad range of issues including strategic planning, annual accountability reports, academic program coordination, fact books, enrollment planning, student financial aid, research and economic development, and medical education. Mr. Jones works collaboratively with university colleagues, as well as other governmental and non-governmental stakeholders to address related policy and data collection issues. He serves on the data committees for both the State University System and the Florida Department of Education that are tasked with considering proposed changes to the State University System Database (SUDS), and granting external data requests.
Mr. Jones joined the Board in 2009 as an Education Policy Analyst. He was previously employed with the Bureau of Postsecondary Assessment within the Florida Department of Education Division of Accountability, Research and Measurement, and gained legislative experience with the Florida Legislature’s Office of Program Policy Analysis and Government Accountability in a Graduate Student Assistantship.
Mr. Jones received a bachelor’s degree in Biology from Emory University and a master’s degree in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies from Florida State University.
