Brittany Davis, Communications Director
As communications director, Brittany Davis helps ensure that the State University System's complex policy issues are presented in a clear and consistent manner. She serves as the Board of Governors' media liaison and spokeswoman, and she oversees the Board's social media outreach.
Prior to joining the Board office in 2013, Brittany was a municipal government reporter for the Tampa Bay Times, the state's largest newspaper.
She was previously assigned to the Tallahassee capital bureau
of the Miami Herald and Tampa Bay Times. Prior to that, she covered European Union politics and policy while overseas. In addition to creating content for print media, Brittany was a writer for the Health News Florida website and WLRN radio, South Florida's NPR affiliate. A product of the university system, she earned her bachelor's and master's degrees from the University of Florida. While a grad student at UF,
she taught communications courses, giving her the unique perspective of working for the System both inside and outside the classroom.
